Antrim Parks and Rec Commission Meeting

September minutes accepted with corrections.
Budget
CIP: Meeting with CIP committee 9 am Tuesday, October 23.
Rec Dept: As requested, 2019 budget kept flat. ConVal has not paid anything towards Shea Field this year. Funds received would have gone into revolving account.
Shea Field
Program under the lights at Home and Harvest was great success. Town bus broke down while being used as shuttle; repairs to be completed soon.
Discussion of GBS use of field after use request denied. Donna will send letter to ConVal Superintendent.
No word from ConVal regarding agreement.
Turf was treated for crabgrass and reseeded; new grass growing.
Gregg Lake
Little long-term damage to lake from truck spill.
Water testing results show phosphorus entering at the inlet.
Boy Scout project completed at bathhouse.
Town Gym
Celeste recording moisture readings; will ask NE Sports Floors what goal is.
No word from ConVal regarding agreement.
Memorial Park
Tennis court has been used; net will be taken in soon.
Walking bridge will not be installed this fall.
Colin looking into less expensive composite material to replace Skatelite.
Bartlett Trees planning philanthropic event in which trees will be given away, probably around Earth Day in April.
Rec Dept
JT transitioning out of Rec Assistant job; Celeste will post position.
Celeste will order smaller tarp for skate rink.
Recreational soccer went well. Only two people showed up for adult archery. Tennis lessons will be offered again in the spring.
